“The Buddha discovered the medicine of the Noble Path. The Dhamma is the medicine. The Sangha prescribed it. As a patient of defilement. I pay homage to the Trip Gem. The Buddha built a raft for the Noble Path. The Dhamma is the North Path. The Sangha used the raft. Being in the whirlpool of samsāra, I pay homage to the Trip Gem.”
This book is intended to guide meditators not just in learning the Buddha-Dhamma but also to understand it, and to put into practice the Buddha-Dhamma in our daily life. The author stresses the importance of understanding the Four Noble Truths and the Noble Eightfold Path in order to practice the correct teaching of the Buddha. Buddhism is not a religion, but a way of life, developing the Buddhacitta to become a better person, to share the loving-kindness and compassion with other to find peace and happiness. Meditation alone cannot lead one to the spiritual Path which one had to strive on to reap the Law of Kamma, in order to acquire the ten Paramitas and in a hope to attain liberation.
