ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Veneable Sayadaw U Pannadipa (Kabe-Aye Sayadaw) is one among the handful of learned monks from Myanmar who is able to teach the Dhamma in English. His monastery in Yangon has a few hundred lay students studying English and other East-Asian languages. One cannot help but likens this selfless and tireless teacher to the Sayadaw of the Myanmar Kon-Baung period (1752-1885) who were responsible for both moral and general education of the people. Now already in his early eighties, the Sayadaw still serves as a dean at the Faculty of Meditation Practice (Patipatti), International Theravada Buddhist Missionary University, Yangon.
